A Deadly Wish

A Deadly Wish
A Deadly Wish is Metalcore band from Fontana, CA. The band is made up of five passionate youngsters who began their musical journey is 2009. Members Remy and Diego both play guitar, Remy on lead and Diego plays rhythm. Jeremy is on the the drums and Eddie plays bass. Jesse completes the group and leads the way with his powerful voice and lyrics. A Deadly Wish began in 2009, releasing an EP entitled “Through Pain Comes Glory”. The band played a few shows after the EP release, but the band fell apart and split up for a year due to commitment issues with some members. However, in late 2011 they picked up two new members (Diego and Eddie).
“Diego and Eddie are the perfect addition to the group. They are both very creative and inspired by different styles of music, so they really bring a lot of creativity to the table.”
After picking up the duo, the band started practicing twice a week mostly on Friday and Saturday nights. ADW is back on track, but this time they are in a new location. They are now based out of San Pedro, were they all share a house. Although they moved out of Fontana, they will never forget the inspiration they got from life in the city where they grew up. ADW finished 2011 playing local shows in  the Inland Empire. They are currently planning to record two singles and shoot two music videos by the end of 2012.

Silent Planet

 Silent Planet
Silent Planet is a band that was formed by six musicians, some of which are APU students. The band’s Hardcore/Metal sound and Post-Rock style has caught the attention of many fans. The band was formed roughly three years ago, but the current group came together over the last six months. The story of how the current band was formed came from a vision the Keys/Guitar player Nathan Benedict had about a year ago.  Benedict was unsure of the significance until two weeks later. Guitar player David was thrown into prison, and Garrett Lemster (Bass) was involved in a late-night car accident which put him into a coma for over a month. So the members of Silent Planet spent much of their time visiting David and Garrett in 2011. Despite the band’s setbacks, they are in the final stages of finishing their EP, titled "Come Wind, Come Weather". The EP was recorded in January with Matt Goldman, who owns Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta, GA. Some other bands that Goldman has produced include Underoath, Copeland, Third Day, Casting Crowns, The Chariot, and Oceana. Silent Planet plans to release the EP on May 15th, and will be putting on a release/benefit show on May 19th at the No Future Cafe in Pasadena. Singer Garrett Russell commented saying,
“We've played some shows over the last few months at a variety of venues, and everything has been great so far. We've really been encouraged by the crowd response, and we are very excited to play more and more shows.”
When asked about Silent Planet’s goal Russell said,
“Our primary goal as a band is to spread the love of Christ. Plain and simple. We want to share the way He has impacted all of us. And to prove to people that the love of God is real to us.”
